Daniel Levy plays Beethoven: Unheard Works

The WORLD PREMIÈRE of four Dances and Minuets transcribed from sketches in Beethoven’s notebooks have been included in the first of these recitals. Fresh and innovative, they demonstrate the unflagging experimentation and dedication that characterised Beethoven’s creative spirit. For the transcriptions we offer our warm thanks to Graziano Denini and the Music Research Centre lvbeethoven.it, a unique and comprehensive source for Beethoven’s music. Daniel Levy plays Beethoven: Bagatelles & Adagios

The second recital begins with a selection of beautiful but little-performed Bagatelles, some without opus numbers and some of opus 119 and opus 126. These appear as flashes of light and poetry with moments imbued with energetic and graceful rhythms. Also included are some Adagios from the Piano Sonatas, making the whole a rich fresco of Beethoven’s inventiveness. Download your concert programme

Daniel Levy: Musical Moments (Piano Improvisations)

This unmissable recital consists of ‘Improvisations’ for piano lovingly dedicated to Beethoven. The performance includes spontaneous, electrifying moments recorded during a profound effusion. A unique experience in the world of classical music!

The selection made by Daniel Levy starts from the compositions of a young Beethoven, just 12 years old, who was already expressing deep poetic feelings. Precious Sonatinas and Klavierstücke of extraordinary beauty follow, expressing the gift of synthesis. Also in the programme are wonderful Preludes with innovative harmonies and highly original phrases from the creative language of the genius from Bonn.

Together these recitals offer a cohesive way of celebrating Beethoven’s life, a beacon for music lovers in all its aspects and global teachings, which point to deep listening as the main path to knowledge, freedom and harmony in the world.
