The Ascona Music Festival turns 14 this year. Since 2010, it has tirelessly offered high quality musical events across its spring and autumn editions. The current initiatives of the festival include concerts with soloists, chamber ensembles, presentations of young musicians, film and music cycles with great directors, seminars of Musical Education, book publications in multiple languages and recordings.

From Ascona to the world

Today, as a response to unprecedented events, it has become more crucial and necessary than ever to reach out to human beings across the globe with Music and Beauty. Humanity is waiting for a message of hope and positivity, which can come through listening to the works of brilliant composers, in the context of the vision of the wonderful natural landscapes that Lake Maggiore gives us.

Your contribution is therefore crucial to keeping alive the privileged space that the Ascona Music Festival fills on the international music scene - in the present, in the near future and in the long term.

Under normal circumstances, 70% of the Ascona Music Festival's annual revenue comes from the sale of season tickets and concert tickets. The remainder comes from the contribution of a small group of sponsors. The festival does not receive assistance or funding from public institutions. These revenues have been lost for the 11th Edition 2020, as we have had to cancel the concert cycles that were to take place during this time period.

Today, donating to our Support Fund will make a big difference to the artistic fulfilment of the Festival, and mainly to its 'mission' of music education, as a special program is being prepared to allow people to stay connected through music, until it is possible to reunite in person.
